I had issues with openGL (at least when I tried with OGL 3.x) even on the driver version where it worked with delta. I assume that delta uses openGL 2.0 which should more or less work, I tested the different openGL versions with the tool openGL extension viewer which has tests. the intel hd 4k should support ogl until v4 but as said, when trying with 3.x+, then I expirience issues. I'd like to test another framework but sadly there is currently no other framework available, at least not as standalone zip (maybe it's available over nuget but I prefer the zip as I can manage the assemblies in a central place instead of having always to download them with nuget)
about your fix: I think it fixes then the message and I'm able to load from disk again? If the release is tomorrow as you say then I will wait until then so I won't try that fix, I have no problem with waiting until tomorrow as I prefer to work on weekends when I have more time but thanks anyway for the fix, I think it would solve my problem |

We tested the release on several PCs and it worked all fine except for one with bad OpenGL 2.0 drivers where GLFW3 refused to work. Switching to any other framework (GLFW2, OpenTK, Xna, SlimDX, SharDX, etc.) worked fine. Please try the same.
Again, if OpenGL does not work, first make sure it is not your PC and driver issues, we really cannot fix those (maybe we can present a better error message, but thats it). Try any other OpenGL application and see if that works first. Or just do not use OpenGL, we support many different frameworks.

Well, I'm using OpenTK right now and I'm getting a exception which partly says DoesNotSupportShaders The driver seems to work but Intel did some stupid thing and the driver does not support openGL 2.0 As soon as the other implementations are released I will switch to directX, it will surely work better than openGL
I know you can't fix any driver problems but the reason why I'm reporting it here is also to give others the information that it does not work when they own a surface pro :) Let's see what happens in a month, when the OS is officially released, maybe there are then working drivers.
Is evrything happening after plan? I'd like to advance my projects so I'm interested if the release can happen today as I want to switch to DX before continue to develop :) |

Okay, I have send you a beta version of the next release (at least the Xna, SlimDX and SharpDX bits you wanted to take a look, let me know if you need precompiled dlls for testing, but you should be able to build it yourself). If anyone else likes it, PM or Email me (forum won't take the .7z file ..) We will test it much more on Monday and then do a release once we have made sure all the little problems are fixed. Thanks for sending me a preview :) Normally I prefer the precompiled package as I use the source normally only for reference use if I have to look how I must use something or to get any useful hints on doing a specific thing but I will also be able to compile by myself, it's no big problem :) |
