I checked out some of the tutorials and it appears the Content isn't there yet (eg Delta.Rendering.ModelTests.DrawAnimatedModel(), Delta.Rendering.ModelTests.Tutorials.DrawTransformedAnimatedModel())

Is it just the content that's missing - ie if I upload my own content will it work? Or is there still some dlls to update behind the scenes?

Yeah, content is still missing for Delta.Rendering.ModelTests

If you want to test 3D you can checkout the Labyrinth project (new sample added 2 weeks ago). All content is there and can be looked at with the ContentManager and used on all platforms.

Ok, cool, I've found the Labyrinth content.

Is there any example source code available for that project yet? If not it's no biggie I can still play around with it.

Ah cool!

(It's not yet been made part of the Delta Engine solution is why I missed it!)

Okay... So... It looks kinda pretty... Not really much to it though - even less than the pyramid game sample! :)

It should be noted that when I run it it errors with the following:

Code:
00.010 Error: Failed to find type 'Delta.PhysicsEngines.Physics'!
Unable to generate new EngineTypeList.xml because the 'AllowDevelopmentAssemblyUpdating' feature is disabled in the Settings.xml file. Enable this or fix the EngineTypeList.xml file to point to the correct types and assemblies (preferably via the ContentManager tool).
	at Delta.Engine.Application.guAdylhmnqBWaAYgsp(System.Object )
	at Delta.Engine.Application.Error(System.String message, System.Object exceptionObject)
	at Delta.Engine.Application.AbkK1TqtXEsxd11dLQ3(System.Object , System.Object )
	at Delta.Engine.Application.Error(System.String message)
	at Delta.Engine.Dynamic.TypeListManager.GenerateAndSave(System.String currentPath, System.String engineTypeListFilename, System.String errorMessage)

I changed the AllowDevelopmentAssemblyUpdating setting to True and it ran fine - but it doesn't need physics atm because, unless I'm much mistaken, nothing is actually capable of movement...

---

However, this thread was really about asking where things are at re: animated models rather than static ones.
(I note that animated meshes can't be uploaded in the Content Manager yet, so I can't test out my sample fbx mesh.)

Seems to be a bug if it is not included in the solution yet, I will check it for the next nightly release.

Animations have not been tested much, but we tried some with the models for the Labyrinth game (which is obviously not done yet, I will continue working on 3D after Android, iOS and WP7 work fine).

It's cool. Working on builds is much more important. Just wondered as this (and physics - I tried building AdvancedGameExample for iOS and it didn't work) are pretty much the last things on my list before I begin converting my 3D XNA game to DE - so I'm just excited!

(Edit: Physics isn't important to me in any way; I've got the Jitter source code so I can use it just like any other code. I don't need physics integrated into DE for my purposes.

Like I say, I'm just excited cos I've been waiting since ~Oct last year and, for me, the final piece is almost in place!)
