Is there a way to alter the alpha value of a Material2D to crate a fading effect? I'd like to let a logo fade out over a specific time. Thank you!

Sure, just use a Material2DColored and use the Alpha Value of the BlendColor.

Thank you, works perfect. Should have taken a closer look into the Material2DColored before.
