Hi @all
I just wanted to ask, when the tools will be released. Accoring to the roadmap, they were announced for M2 and in M3, it should be even more tools but currently, we have no tools yet. Can you maybe tell me, when they will be released?
I have something which I also want to compile for windows 8/windows phone 7/8 to test how it works but I currently cannot do more than a normal windows desktop build :D

I hope someone can help

We are working on it right now. Some tools have been started, but not fully fine-tuned. The plan is to release the Editor each week with the weekly sprints and improve it over time (the Editor now contains all functionality of the previous tools as plugins).

ok thats good to hear.
Does that mean, we only get one tool which has every function included as plugin so we only have to start one program and can do everything we earlier did with more tools?

We are still working on it, but yes, each functionality goes into some plugin, which will be available through the Editor UI. The first one will be the SampleBrowser, but we are also working on Content, Viewers and Emulators right now.

Wow, sounds cool.
I don't know anymore, but will the tools also be open source? I'm sure I can learn a bit about pluginsystem and other cool handling stuff from your tools (I always try to collect knowledge from as many sources as possible, of course only if I can ;) )
But even without open source tools, I'm still looking forward to everything which comes.

Yup, it is open source and hopefully our plugin system will lead to many plugins from the community as well.

Ok, sounds even better.
Well then, as soon as it's available, I'm sure that I will discover it (I already see maybe also some tutorials to the system in the future but first I have to wait until it's ready and then I can look what I can do)

We have worked a lot on tools in the past 2 weeks, so the next release will be a big update with lots of new tools and plugins.
