The hardest thing with Silverlight is content and while we have working importers and can use content in samples easily, a better strategy is needed for full games like SoulCraft, which also will come out on the Web :)

I hope that the guys of "Moonlight" project do well and provide a compatible version for MacOS and Linux.

Well, don't expect too much, the last beta of Silverlight 5 ran only on Windows. But who knows maybe they worked on a MacOS compatible version (I think it is unlikely). Silverlight is still a great choice because a browser plugin would only work on Windows too (at least initially before developing a mac version too).

What's about facebook (or other social network) integration? Will Delta Engine provide its own social plugin API or use another open source solution like Facebook C# SDK? Edited by user Friday, August 26, 2011 2:57:11 PM(UTC)

Thats something that depends on user needs, if you need to have something like facebook, you can obviously use Facebook C# SDK, but i don't think that on engine side there will added support for facebook, Silverlight support is quite enought at the moment, and maybe in the future we can add Google native support (NaCI) or Firefox plug-in. Yup, what Amer said. Adding your own implementations to existing libraries and frameworks is not that hard and the community can create plugins much easier and faster than we can. But sure, if you want Facebook support (or any other library or framework), you have 2 options: Wait until we support it and implement it. Or do it yourself.
Experience shows that in 100% of the cases the game teams implemented it on their own so far :)
If you need help with Facebook C# API integration, we are here to help ^^

Sorry if this question was already asked before, but is web deployment will be available on September 30 or you planning to release it latter?

Well, first of all we need Silverlight 5 from Microsoft, which is still not released (could be between september and november this year probably). Then we need to make sure it all works good and then we will add support for it. So it is highly unlikely that it will be included in the first version of the public beta since we focus everything on the mobile platforms right now. However, we do have monthly releases and the longest you will have to wait for a new feature is one month (except the feature is more work or we have to prioritize).
Currently adding more platforms is our highest priority to make the Delta Engine the most useful .NET development tool for anyone out there. Then we will add more features and finally also more and better tools for more complex games. Long road ahead :)
